Here’s a project that Twitch friend Jason Gray worked on which represents a first (or two) for him, with regards Japanese DVD releases. Firstly, if I’ve got this right, Jason translated the screenplay into English and then later was responsible for the English Subtitles. Now, that’s all good and fine, these things are usually for Festival Screenings and the like, but now Jason’s subtitles are being used on the DVD release and he’ll get credited for it - and paid! - so that’s quite something. Nice work, Jason. Let’s hope this is another example of companies in other countries taking some notice of the increasing interest in their work and releases.

Thanks for the post on this logboy! This is one of the films I wanted to get more info on and am glad a DVD release is pending. Didn’t realize Jason was a part-time actor and appeared in “Linda Linda Linda” (IMDB mentions that he portrayed one of the Ramones) and “My Zombie Mermaid”. Definitely looking forward to getting this as it was also given a good review by Mark Schilling at Japan Times.
