What’s that you say?  You don’t want to wait for the eventual R1 release of big budget Russian fantasy picture Wolfhound to get yourself an English friendly version?  Don’t have to ... it’s freshly out on DVD in Germany and the DVD release there features English subtitles.  Even better, overseas Amazon sites will recognize your login info so ordering couldn’t be easier.  Read Mack’s review linked below and check the trailer embedded below the break in the Twitch Player to see why you should care.  Or not, really.  It’s up to you.

some of the best news i’ve had all week! definitely one of my favourites from after dark.

Good movie.  The end got a little ridiculous and a little too chaotic and big, but the rest was fun.  Sort of a recall to my youth and hours of watching Beastmaster.  Seriously, what’s not to like about a vampire bat for a sidekick?

best news of the week maybe… but if I read the specs right it’s a German dub!?! Can anyone confirm if there is also an original language option with English subs on this DVD? It seems strange though to release a dubbed version and then also provide subs in a language that is of no real use to the target market audience…

That’s indeed odd Peter, most sites just say German D5.1 with English subs, and that’s it!

But I found this at http://www.cinefacts.de and it looks legit:

My DVD from Germany just arrived! In response to petcor80’s and Ardvark’s question: It has English subtitles and you have a choice between it’s original Russian language or a German dub.
