The Lady Vampire
With global politics the way they are the time seems right for another wave of post-apocalyptic films, a genre that a few recent horror films have hinted at without diving right into and which has largely been quiet since the end of the Cold War. But it’s back in a big way with writer-director Jim Torres’ Like Moles, Like Rats, a film that stars Nathan Baesel as one of a small band of survivors trying to find hope in a post-apocalyptic world. Fans of The Wire and Oz will be happy to see Reg Cathey in there as well.

My favourite genre! I think we have Shawn of the Dead and the remake of Dawn of the Dead to thank for this resurgence in post-apocalyptic film.
