Website and Trailer For Norwegian Slasher Flick Rovdyr (Predator)

We called this trend a good while back and now it looks as though we’re being proven correct. With Frostbite, Jade Warrior and particularly Cold Prey all proving significant financial successes and with a healthy swarm of young, hungry, genre savvy directors ready to jump at the chance the next hotbed for genre film may prove to be the til-now solidly art-house domain of the Nordic countries. And with those first efforts proving that a bit of blood wouldn’t turn off the local audiences you can very likely expect the blood taps to be cranked a little more wide open in the coming efforts ...
Case in point: Rovdyr. The title translates as Predator and with a release target of January 2008 the film aims for that Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Wolf Creek or Deliverance vibe. The first teaser has just hit online and while it’s vey much a tease it’s a damn effective one that promises a good amount of blood and a whole lot of style. Very, very nice.

Just a minor addition - while the title literally translates as Predator, the film already has been given an international title: Backwoods.
