Tartan has announced a few dates, and of course they include the first sighting of a disc for their license of Vital. The film did get a stunningly well mastered R2 Japanese disc very recently, and it’s a great film, so you can now weigh up what you want to do since the license was only vaguely revealed previously. I’ve the Japanese Disc, we’ve reviews in the archive.

Also mentioned for UK releases : ‘Infection’ (J-Horror series, as out recently in USA, 14th November 2005) with ‘Premonition’ due 5th of December 2005. same date as ‘Infection’ for ‘Blue Sky’ (aka ‘Wonderful Days’) and ‘Tell Me Something’ - both Korean films as we know.

24th October : ‘Battle Royale 2’ and ‘2LDK / Aragami’. 30th January 2006 : ‘The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things’ (mentioned only because of Asia Argento, don’t think reviews were too hot for this, unlike the woman herself), plus ‘R Point’ (disappointing Korean War Horror mix), ‘Beautiful Boxer’ (out in the USA very soon) and the ever-popular ‘Whispering Corridors’.

Sometime 2006 for ‘Abnormal Beauty’ (Pang Brothers), ‘Dumplings’ (Fruit Chans’ Cracker), ‘A Bittersweet Life’ (needs no mention by now - hopefully - and out next week on DVD in Korean, got mine preordered), plus ‘36 Quai des Orfevres’ with Auteuil and Depardieu (out in France and HK already on DVD).

I should get the Bittersweet Life DVD around August 2-3 at worst. I’ll probably review it the weekend after.

Why did they take a very nice looking film and make it look like it’s from 1973?
This is as bad as the R1 Innocence cover.
