Laputa: Castle in the Sky
The official subsite for Hirono Yamada‘s Survival Beach (Sabaibaru bîchi) - a.k.a. “Hirono Yamada’s Survival Beach"/"Yamada Hirono no sabaibaru bîchi” - is now partly functional, and there are a number of stills from the movie on that site.
As was previously reported here on Twitch, the screenplay for Survival Beach was written by Yamada. The movie stars Michi Nishijima as Amanda, Shun Aika as Isabel, Francoise Hirota (Furansowâzu Hirota) as Jane, and Horiken. (the period is part of his name) as Hori. It co-stars Yoshiki Wakura, Chihiro Koganezaki, and Yûji Kuze.
Bio-Tide K.K. (K.K. Baio-Taido) is scheduled to release Survival Beach at the Theater Pole-Pole Higashi-Nakano (Pore-Pore Higashi-Nakano) in Tokyo on January 6th of next year. Part of the movie will be shown in 3D!

Is this the Japanese remake of TANYA’S ISLAND?

What a weird film… The movie seems like a play on the game show “Survivor” hence the odd use of Anglo-European names for the main characters (Amanda, Jane and Isabel). You can almost be sure that this is going to be a semi-soft porn/sexploitation type of film with the heroines getting ravaged by the nasty man-beast on the flyer a la movies like “Humanoids From The Deep” in 3-D no less (what a gimmick). I haven’t seen “Tanya’s Island” before but judging from Amazon’s DVD entry it sounds very similar to “Survival Beach”. The acting will probably be just as atrocious.

That is one of the greatest posters I’ve ever seen. They ought to lose the flame border and the miniature bikini girls at the bottom (Die, Photoshop, die!) but that’s nitpicking. The monster looking directly at the camera as if to challenge YOU, THE VIEWER to even contemplate trying to stop him from getting his bestial freak on… that’s just classic. Don’t even think of making fun of the plant-based hat.
