Back when I reviewed Pavel Ruminov’s Dead Daughters I commented on how the Russian director would be helped by hiring a cold blooded editor to provide some guidance in that realm.  Well, Ruminov has evidently taken that comment to heart as he’s just written to let us know that his upcoming comedy Circumstances will exist in two radically different versions.  First is the theatrical cut which clocks in at a tight eighty eight minutes.  Second is an extended, mono sound black and white version that runs for a solid two hours and includes a significant character and subplot cut from the theatrical version.  This second cut will be available only on DVD.  The interesting thing here is that Ruminov refers to both cuts as being directors cuts, both were versions were cut they way he wanted them to be with different goals in mind.

The film is going through color correction and audio post production now so expect a trailer soon ...
