We posted the hugely impressive first trailer for Levent Semerci’s upcoming Turkish war film Nefes back in December and have been eagerly awaiting something new from the film ever since and it has finally arrived in the form of a brand new trailer.  Now, war films have been following the same basic model for decades now and Semerci is certainly not looking to vary too much from the normal approach - his film tracks the military career of a young man from enlisting through to active service - but the reason people keep using this approach is because when done well it produces stunning results and based on these two trailers Semerci is doing it well indeed.  Using a cast of largely unknown actors trained by retired military officers Sermeci is making his feature debut here after building a name for himself in commercial work and you can expect to hear his name a whole lot more.

You’ll find both trailers below the break.

Footage is ok, but music is very cheap.

This looks good! A bit more stylish than other war-dramas.

These trailers remind me The Coast Guard from South Korea(correct me if I’m wrong), and that film was fantastic.

Excited for more info on Nefes!
