Tran Anh Hung Lands Stellar International Cast For I COME WITH THE RAIN …

There have been rumblings about the latest film from the director of Scent of Green Papaya and Cyclo for a while now, but there has also been some confusion about who’s in and who’s out so we’ve been holding off saying anything until now ... and here’s the skinny.
Josh Hartnett is a private detective in Hong Kong looking for a faith healer after an encounter with a serial killer. Hong Kong star Shawn Yue also stars - and I must confess that somewhere in the past year I think he’s actually become a credible actor, he’s actually pretty compelling in Invisible Target - along with 2046‘s Takuya Kimura and after a good while of back and forth on whether he would actually be available, A Bittersweet Life‘s Lee Byeong-Hyun has just joined the cast in Hong Kong to play a triad boss.
Yes, the basic premise sounds as though it could go either way Tran is a proven talent and I actually have a good deal of faith in Hartnett when he gets away from the Hollywood pretty-boy machine. With a cast like this I Come With The Rain should prove to be something pretty special ...
