A page for José Mojica Marins’ Embodiment of Evil (Encarnação do Demônio) has been added to GOMORRAHY.com, and on that page is a large (480 x 320) downloadable English-subtitled trailer for the movie.
The screenplay for Embodiment of Evil was written by José Mojica Marins and Dennison Ramalho. The movie stars José Mojica Marins as Coffin Joe (Zé do Caixão). It co-stars Débora Muniz, Luís Melo, Rui Resende, Giulio Lopes, Eduardo Chagas, Jece Valadão, Milhem Cortaz, and José Celso Martinez Corrêa.
Here’s a synopsis for Embodiment of Evil from the production: “After 30 years in a cell for the mentally ill, Zé do Caixão (a.k.a. Coffin Joe) is finally freed. Back on the streets, the sadistic gravedigger is set on fulfilling that for which he was imprisoned: find the woman who can give him the perfect child. During his wanderings through the city of São Paulo, he leaves behind a trail of horror as he faces unnatural laws and popular beliefs.”
