Yeah, you’d know this if you just scrolled down and saw The Visitor’s advance notice that it was coming but for those who don’t care for so much exertion, here’s your notice.  The first official trailer for the new sci-fi comedy by Stephen Chow of Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle fame is now online on Yahoo sites throughout Asia. And it’s lookin’ sweet.  But act fast!  This is a time limited release that will be available for just slightly more than another fifteen hours and then it’s gone.

Embedded Twitch Video After the Jump.

Enjoy.

It’s already in the Twitch Video player.  You’re Welcome.

Did you get a confirmation?  It’s not showing on the submissions list.

Video DownloadHelper worked like a charm for me in Firefox - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006

I’d have submitted it but I figured that there were dozens of Twitch readers one step ahead of me.

My confirmation email account is unaccessible from where I am at the moment.  Perhaps there was a problem on BrightCove’s end.  I’ll know in a couple hours.

My video submission is already on its way.  If you have it already, just remove mine.

BTW, the true translation of the first line is “Stop screaming or else I’ll toss you out into the streets!”, not “Stop screaming like a ghost!”.  Sony is twisting some words there.

    That kid is freakin hilarious.

Thanks Rhythm-X ... I’d been using URL Helper which worked great for ages but when I switched to full wireless it just stopped working on all of my computers, which is weird ‘cause I’ve had it going on my laptop before.  Guess it hated my router ...

Al:  Maybe the thought of a parent abandoning their child in a comedy didnt’ play well with the Sony Marketing department.  Mainstream chinese humour has always been a bit more extreme than mainstream american humour.

I hope that’s not gonna be typical of the accuracy of the subtitles on the actual film.  Then again, if I refused to watch a Stephen Chow film because of inaccuracies in the subtitles, I’d have never seen one in the first place.

Hey Kurt, I can understand where Sony is coming from with the alteration.  I couldn’t help but chuckle when Chow said that, even when its a bit extreme.

For ripping/extracting FLV videos directly off a site, I recommend using Orbit downloader.  All you got to do once you install it is when ever there is a video, just put the cursor over it and a “get it” option box will appear.  Select it and then choose which directory you want to save it in.  I got it to work on IE (firefox doesn’t work for some reason) and it works perfectly.  Heres the link:

Sony Pictures has a channel on Dailymotion with the CJ7 teaser:

I’m assuming the HD teaser will be available on at some point when the official site is launched.
