The Killer Bean is baaaccccckkkkkkk!  And this time in a full length feature film.  For those unfamiliar with the old Killer Bean, its a CG animated short, featuring John Woo style gunplay.  The action comedy was posted online several years ago by Jeff Lew, a self taught animator.  What started out as an animation exercise would later become a sensation on the internet and with the wide spread attention it received somehow helped Jeff land a gig as a lead animator on the Matrix Reloaded.  Not content with working as only an animator, he gave up the offer to work on the Matrix Revolutions to pursue his dream as a filmmaker.  After four years of grinding away independently on the Killer Bean Forever, the three-quel is now almost complete and there is a trailer up at the official site.  The videos section also contain the complete short of Killer Bean 2: The Party.  At the present, the film is currently being submitted to several film festivals.

Hopefully we’ll be getting a feature length XIAO XIAO shortly thereafter.

Seriously, I respect that the man put so much time, money, and effort into what obviously meant a lot to him, and I wish him all the success in the world.  But really, you sank your life savings into a feature-length KILLER BEAN?  The absurdity of thinking that was a good idea actually makes the dedication to said idea all the more impressive.  Hats off to you, you damned madman.

Looks really impressive! Heres hoping someone picks it up!

Exactly Rhythm-X. I hope for his sakes that it gets picked up.
It looked all right I guess but the comedy was a little flat for my taste, poor delivery and timing, especially in “Oh no you didn’t!” bit. But the end joke was funny.
