Trailer for ‘Doctor Who’ Spin-off ‘Torchwood’; Series Airs from October 22nd 2006.

Here it is then, the date is set and the look is revealed to be distinctly similar to ’Doctor Who‘ and yet there’s a clearly more scary monster in the trailer than you would find over on that show, and there’s also an obvious team dynamic to it all too - so I suspect it’s a sci-fi take on the ever-popular crime/mystery drama series for adults that British TV Companies are very keen on. I will be tuning in to find out.

As for how well it all works, well I suspect this won’t be allowed to fail, and yet I think it’s audience isn’t quite as predictable as ’Doctor Who‘ - and show which, on it’s return, still managed to find a different audience that was originally intended, or originally found in it’s earlier incarnations. Still, I like the trailer, the Official Site also has much more to be revealed soon and on there right now, and I say it’s worth a look.

The first 2-Disc R2 UK DVD is already set to be released soon, I’ve added a pre-order link for those interested, below, for Amazon in the U.K. As a treat, the R1 USA DVD Box Set of Series Two of ’Doctor Who‘ makes it out earlier than expected also… so I’ve put that in for Amazon USA users.
