The official website for Alexander Herget‘s Devils Gateway - a.k.a. “Maitland” (working title) - is online, and there’s a downloadable trailer for the movie on that site. The movie was produced by Silver Bullet Films Pty. Ltd.; Atlas International Film GmbH is the international sales agent for it.

As was previously reported here on Twitch, the screenplay for Devils Gateway was written by Herget and Anne Mason. The movie stars (listed order corresponds to poster order) Vanessa Gray as Megan Samuels, Michael Piccirilli as both David Collins and John Collins, Jack Campbell as Derek Rant, Rae Johnston as Jessica Meadows, Stephen Mark Adams as Mark Daniels, and Paul Moxey as Chris Jakobs.

Here’s a synopsis for Devils Gateway from the official website for the movie: “A cold winter’s night in 1973. Warden John Collins sits at his desk in his small prison office and calls his wife. He wears the tell-tale signs of death. Within the hour both John and his wife are dead, and the only survivor from the fateful night is their 8-year-old son David.

What really happened? What drove this loving family man to kill not only his wife, but also an inmate and a fellow warden?

30 years later, an ambitious and dedicated paranormal crew enter the prison to find out what really happened. Was John Collins the murdering warden that they have been lead to believe, or was something darker at work that night?

Presenter Megan Samuels and her trusting crew track down the now-adult David Collins and convince him to join the group.

As the members of the group enter the jail, they begin to see that all is not right, and that perhaps they are encountering something much more sinister. As the night presses on, they begin to disappear. Only one will make it out alive… who will it be?”
