An early trailer and very lengthy behind the scenes production reel for Thai action film Siyama have turned up online. From young Thai production house Mono Film - the same people behind Vengeance and Tiger Blade - the film tells the story of a trio of youth from modern day Thailand who are transported back in time and plunged into a war battling off an invading army. The footage in the trailer looks to be fairly raw but with the film still in post I would expect thing to be polished up a good bit before the eventual release.

Looks as horrible as every Mono Film production, sadly.

That music in the trailer is from Seven Swords isn’t it?

Different strokes I guess, ‘bee. They’re definitely b films but I thought Tiger Blade and Vengeance were both pretty fun, especially Vengeance. Production values are generally pretty good, too, other than the dodgy CG lizards in Vengeance. Mono has released early trailers with half done effects for every film they’ve released so far and it’s obvious from the production reel that they’ve built some pretty huge standing sets for this, so I expect the finished film to look a good bit better than the trailer.

Well, unless they stop the retarded censoring stuff, I’m not getting behind the films.

That’s got nothing to do with them, though, and everything to do with the Thai government ...

Isn’t that the same exact premise of one of Paul Walker’s terrible movies, “Timeline”?
