At the top of the pile is one from Filipino film maker Chuck Gutierrez, steering me to his latest short film The Most Beautiful Woman in the World. Now, Chuck had some behind the scenes involvement with the excellent Sigaw and it’s pretty obvious that he share’s Yam Laranas’ (the director of Sigaw) skill behind the camera because this thing is just gorgeous. Just breathtaking filmmaking! Would love to be among the first to see your first full length film. Girl in the movie really gave the film title justice. Congrats!

What a stunning short film. And it’s shot right here in SF.
Incidentally, the beautiful music he uses is from the movie “Il Mare” starring “Sassy Girl” Jeon Ji-Hyeon. I didn’t see him credit it, so just an FYI. Wonderful film, by the way.

Yup, the music was “borrowed” but not used commercially. The short is beautifully shot. It’s always good to be director-dp at the same time. I hope the filmmaker re-scores the whole thing.

I just saw this short and it is a truly beautiful piece of work. Elegaic, poetic and wistful. The actress also deserves her moniker.
