We don’t actually do this nearly as often as we should around here but from time to time it’s a good thing to post up a little reminder of who we are, what we do and how things work.  So here it goes ...

You are reading Twitch, an online community for fans of international, independent, cult, genre and arthouse film.  We tend not to make much distinction between the high brow and the low brow in these parts, we love it all.  We’re a fairly obsessive lot around here and extremely prolific.  The main page displays only the previous three days worth of posts so the turn over is fast - miss a couple days and Twitch could be an entirely new site when you come back.  What to do if you don’t want to miss anything?  Simple.  Either come back every day or sign up for our RSS feeds.  We’ve got a good variety to choose from.

People often ask what they can do to help out around here.  Simple!  First, get involved in the comments areas and forum.  You’ll need to sign up for a Twitch account to do so - we reluctantly moved to a member based system as an anti spam measure and it’s worked brilliantly - but signing up is quick and easy and painless.  More?  Okay, send us your news! It’s a big world out there and there’s no way we can spot everything that’s going on without a whole lot of help so if you see something that looks like it may be up our alley, just let us know.  Twitch thrives on community involvement and the community is you.

Want to help promote the site?  You can do that, too.  See those Digg, StumbleUpon, Reddit and Facebook links at the bottom of posts?  Use them.  Seriously, they make a huge difference as far as people noticing what’s going on over here so if you see something that you like take the second you need to click the buttons and cast your vote.  If you want to take Twitch home with you just click this link for our collection of animated headline banners.  Simply copy the code on to your own website, blog, MySpace, Facebook or wherever else you care to do so and anybody who strolls on by will be treated to a rotating cycle of the five most recent Twitch headlines.  We can make these in any size, too, so if you don’t see an option that fits your style, just let us know and we’ll make one to your specs.

Exactly why I’ve always come here.
