The Complete Cesar Velasco Broca Arrives On DVD!

Huzzah!  We’ve been championing the works of Cesar Velasco Broca in these pages for quite some time now and felt more than a little vindicated when his latest short - Avant Petalos Grillados - was selected to play as part of Critics Week at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.  The problem with little cult film makers from Spain, however, is that it’s rather hard to actually see their films unless you happen to hit the big fests while they’re there and that has indeed been the case for Velasco Broca.  But no more!  The cult film maker launched a DVD including all of his major works - the sci-fi trilogy, the Jaime de Funes film with Nacho Vigalondo, plus some digital experimentation - at this years Sitges Festival and while they’re still trying to find a North American home for it it is available now from their own production website.  And, yes, English subtitles are included where required.  Yum.
