It has been an odd night of creme brule, beer and the first 30 minutes of Cromartie High School. But Todd has finally left my house and I can get back to the computer and fix this post up for you folks.

As award season drops in on us like a wet sack of kittens it is always good to find relief in those who poke fun at Hollywood as opposed to the coorporate butt-slapping it usually gets around this time. Something like the Razzies, an awards ceremony devoted to highlighting the worst in Hollywood cinema, reminds us that these ‘stars’ are mere humans and they are just as capable of making crap movies as the next guy. Oh and what crap there was last year.

The Razzies deem these nominees the worst of the worst in 2005. The Razzies will be awarded at a special ceremony the same night as the Acadamy Awards.

Uhm. Adam? Gosh. How do I say this? You’re a swell guy and all. We’re thrilled to the gills that we’re partnered up with you and the After Dark Festival next October. I love your enthusiasm. But… we… uh… already posted the Oscar noms a couple posts back. Yep. Going to have a big ass Oscar Pool for all the writers and our readers to enter. It’s going to be a lot of fun. Just saying… because… well. You went through so much trouble to write them all out here on this post. And I see you did this very late at night too. You went through all this trouble and you didn’t have to. But wow, look at your enthusiasm. lol

Isn’t that the point of the Razzies? There are way too many bad performances/movies out there to consider all of them. The point is to poke fun at the mainstream. Nobody would care about this at all if they didn’t know who the nominees where. I don’t want to see no-names get “razzed”. I want to make fun of the people with the egos and the following they don’t deserve.

  4. Adam Lopez 02/01/2006 @ 2:02pm

Aww geez Mack, and Twitchers.... I was using a news feeder that misssed off the Oscar Post for some reason! Sorree… anyway, I agree the Razzies are a lot more fun. They knock these A-listers back down to size. Gotta hand it to Halle the other year for turning up to pick hers up (Catwoman) and slagging off her agent. Real Class.

  5. Haisan 02/01/2006 @ 7:03pm

Why aren’t there Razzies for Worst Foreign Picture? Come on… ‘tis the age of globalization.

  6. xris 02/02/2006 @ 12:41am

What I’m wondering is where’s the 50 Cent movie on this list?

  7. Christ 02/02/2006 @ 12:22pm

Oh sweet! someone else notices that Katie Holmes has the talent of a road sign!

  8. Justin Slotman 02/03/2006 @ 3:09pm

If Jessica Alba doesn’t win it’s a friggin’ miscarriage of justice. And how no Paul Walker? He was at least as bad in Into The Blue as she was.
