   anyone know the official release date? yesasia says the 31st, while dvdasian says the 24th.

   YesAsia frequently lists release dates slightly later than the street dates, particularly so with Korean titles. It’s partly because Korean discs are notorious for changing dates at the last second and partly just to give themselves time to get their stock from Korea to their various shipping centers ...

   I haven’t had that much experience with Korean DVDs—if the main feature has English subs would the extra features be subbed as well? I would guess that they probably wouldn’t be, but I just thought I’d ask.

   The HK disc is also up for pre-order at DDDHouse, for less than half the cost of the Korean R3. Scant extras compared to the Korean R3, although the Making Of might have English subs.

   That’s unfortunate for non-Korean speakers. Maybe the HK disc will act as a quick fix alternative until Tartan releases the R1 next year (although that one might not include the fading B&W;version).

   As much as I’m DYING to see this right away, we’re going to be showing it at the Lake County Film Festival, and I want this to be the first Asian film in...who KNOWS how long that I see in a theatre BEFORE I see it on DVD.

   If you’re all so concerned about wanting subtitles for the special features, then you should just wait for Metro Tartan’s DVD release next year after they give it a brief US arthouse theatrical run.

   Metro Tartan’s DVDs generally duplicate the Korean DVDs, with subtitles added to the special features and commentaries.

    correct release date should be Dec. 20. But all those big DVDs are out before December 23 (except Showdown, which could be out the 26th)

    I use Korea-based etailers for Film DVDs, but based on my experience ordering Drama boxsets or the occasional R2J from YesAsia, even if they list ‘December 30’ they ship the moment they get the stock. Sometimes it takes 4-5 days, sometimes they ship a day after.

    Jesus… my poor wallet…

    no limited edition. Just this one.

    The Boxset trilogy then will be out later, with probably different extras. But as far as Lady Vengeance, this is the only version.
