In a sense I don’t want to be that guy that’s the only one to post about Star Wars stuff on this site. I mean, I don’t live in my parent’s basement. I have a job. The only flannel I have are the bed sheets. Yes, a girlfriend would be swell. And I try not to geek out on Star Wars. But if no one else will pick up the story then I guess this is a sacrifice that I am willing to make for you the people.
“You don’t know what it was like! You weren’t there!”
So if you haven’t seen it already today Lucasfilm and 20th Century Fox released the first teaser poster for Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith. Click here to see the much bigger and prettier version.
I’ve gotta admit, I am slightly underwhelmed by this poster. It’s not that it pales in comparison to Natalie Portman’s sudden and dramatic uh… development in the Episode II teaser poster. This one just looks like it would be something I would have done in high school art class while Mr Whorly sang us Van Morrison songs like Brown Eyed Girl.
Where’s the slick? Where’s the dang that’s cool? Where’s the I’m starting to line up now image?
Am I the only one here? What do you think?

Meh, no excitement over here yet. Same story with the title. I guess I’ll have to wait until the teaser trailer to place my bets...the real one, I mean, not some ad hoc fanboy splicefest that’s been making the rounds on the internet. I mean, at least I can remember The Last of the Mohicans quite vividly.
I remember being excited when I saw the episode 2 teaser poster (heh heh...excited...) oh so long ago. I still had hope for the franchise back then.
Mack: Don’t you have a flannel lumberjack shirt? With matching beaver cap with ear flaps? Yeah, that one…

looks better than that other one floating around on the net.

looks like spaceballs vader rather than SW vader… odd.

Not impressed. I’m surpriced that they chose that one. There are better ways to convey this idea.

THAT IS TERRIBLE. you know lucas said, “hey guy, you remember when E1 came out and we had that really cool poster of young anakin standing against a wall, and his shadow was darth vader? well, shit guys, lets totally do that again, BUT HERES THE KICKER, anakins robe will be darth vaders helmet...GENIUS!!!”

Well, if they were going to stick with that theme, they should have just used the fake one that was posted a while ago. This poster looks like crap. vader doesn’t even look right; his face looks all distorted and weird from the cape.
But don’t worry, Lucas, you’re not the only George who’s on his last legs.
