Two major Korean titles have just become available for pre-order on DVD so everybody get those credit cards warmed up.

First up is Soo, the violent gangster melodrama from Yoishi Sai.  I caught this at Cannes and to say I was underwhelmed is being kind but the sheer quantity of blood packed into the back half will guarantee this thing finds an audience out there who enjoy it more than I.

The big gun, though, is Jeon Gye-Soo’s Tim Burton-esque musical horror comedy Midnight Ballad For Ghost Theater.  This one opened up the PiFan festival last year and I’ve been completely, madly in love with the trailer since it first appeared online.  Yum.

Those like me who hate streaming windows media can see it on youtube.

I just might order Ghost Theater based on that trailer alone.

The link to the review leads to the Soo review, not this one.

I’ve just placed my order with 300.  I’m hoping dvdfromkorea.com posted release date for 300 is correct.  Also buying MBFGT based on the trailer and not the reviews.  Looks like alot of fun
