Oh, man ... if this turns out to be nothing but a cleverly edited trailer I’m going to cry.  I’ve missed Guy Ritchie for the past many years, missed the brash energy of lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch.  I mean, I don’t begrudge the guy trying to branch out a bit, trying to prove that he was capable of something else, it’s only that he wasn’t really, was he?  And I want my old Guy back.  And judging from recent interviews it sounds as if Guy wants the old Guy back, too, or at least he’s savvy enough to realize that if he doesn’t produce what the fans want - and produce it soon - that he career may not be much longer for this world.

Anyway, all this to say that the new trailer for Rock N Rolla - soon to debut at the Toronto International Film Festival - has arrived and it’s good, good stuff.  You want brash energy?  It’s here in spades, backed up by a killer cast and a wildly homoerotic approach to violence and cinematography.  Check both trailers for the film in the Twitch Player below the break.

Oh oh… Thandie Newton. Looks pretty cool.

I’d say pretty much all action films are homoerotic on some level or another but the shot of the guy ripping his own shirt off as he runs toward the camera in this new trailer tipped it way over that edge for me.  And I totally think it was intentional, too.

Thandie looks a wee bit ana to me --- which is just fine for my eyes wink

And maybe Gerard was just hot from all the running.  : )
I mean, he was so covered up in 300…
