Blind Mountain
Yes, I confess to being one of those who giggled more than a little bit when Sylvester Stallone announced that he would be resurrecting both of his most famous roles a few years back. Yes, I was a fan of both the Rocky and Rambo films in their day but Stallone’s not even close to being a young man any more and the idea of him bringing either back - never mind both - seemed like a mid-life crisis gone mad, the insane idea of an aging star who couldn’t deal with his fall from grace trying to recapture his past glory. But then Rocky Balboa came out and, shockingly, was actually quite good. Suddenly Rambo didn’t seem quite so mad and I’ve got to say that the trailers look pretty ridiculous but in a fun, throwback sort of way. The second trailer and a TV spot have just released - they’re remarkably similar but there are differences - and you’ll find them below the break.

Drowning Pool? You’ve got to be kidding. That’s the lamest thing I can think of. If I was watching TV and saw that tv spot I would think it was a joke

Good God, that song was played out and lame when it was in the trailer for THE ONE. Now it’s old, played out, and lame. Lionsgate should really just switch to making nothing but SAW and Tyler Perry movies. In fact, they ought to get Tyler Perry to make a SAW movie. That’s the ultimate Lionsgate film in a nutshell. They could market the hell out of that.

(And yes, I know that this was a pickup for Lionsgate. I meant to say releasing, not making.)
