Roh to Present Kim Jung-il With Flat-Screen, D-War

The Marmot Hole asks, “So, what do you give the Stalinist dictator who has everything? Well, if you’re the Roh administration, you give him a home theater — complete with large flat-screen TV — and a copy of D-War.” Apparently, the South Korean government is seriously contemplating presenting the ailing Kim Jung-il with a shiny new home theater set-up along with DVDs of Korean films at the upcoming summit meeting, including the monster film that critics couldn’t put to rest. Unfortunately this’ll prove to Kim Jung-il that capitalism leads to idiocy. His propaganda ministers may well start showing clips of D-WAR to the North Korean citizens and successfully convince them that they’re not missing anything.
