Very sad news. The trailers for his latest batch of films look like awesome fun. With a body of work like his he won’t be forgotten anytime soon. R.I.P.

After Uncle Lucio and Uncle Aristide, it’s time for Uncle Bruno to leave us. Bad news. The Italina genre film now is really dead.

    Ciao Bruno

Is this confirmed or just a rumour? I heard he went into coma last week… and yeah, it’s very sad indeed. He was one of my favorites :(

Rest in peace, Vincent.  I’ll be watching a double feature of EMMANUELLE’S REVENGE (which he co-wrote for/with Joe D’Amato) and RATS tonight in his memory.

That sucks.  I just watched Mondo Cannibal (Cannibal Holocaust 2: The Beginning) yesterday and found it brought back the feeling I got from the seventies and eighties Italian exploitation flicks.  I was really happy Bruno was back at it, guns blazing and guts flying.  It’s just terrible that the one guy who is making the films everyone is paying homage to, won’t be doing it anymore.  Sad, sad news.

Man, i can’t believe this . I just found this out a few minutes agoi and i am bummed out! I remember sitting in a hospital in Germany back in ‘87 or so and my Mom started tlaking about this sick, crazy gory zombie flick . It was NIGHT OF THE ZOMBIES( a.k.a. HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD ) . She rented it and i was the only one who watched it! One of my all time fave. zombie flicks! The man and his films are a big inspiration too me and i will miss him very much! Long Live Bruno Mattei!!!!!! Rest in Peace .
