Peter Stormare Tends The Herd In VARG

I’ve always found veteran character actor Peter Stormare to be compulsively watchable and so I’m greatly enjoying his recent return to his roots to play more significant roles throughout Scandinavia than the support bits he is typically offered in Hollywood. His latest star turn is as the lead in Varg, a dominantly Swedish production in which he takes the lead as a reindeer herder in remote northern regions who is called into suspicion when a rare and protected wolf is discovered dead. Trust me, there’s more going on here than what that makes it sounds like, the trailer playing like a fairly taught little thriller and Stormare, as always, looks fantastic.
