Parni s Marsa -New Russian Comedy/Drama staring Sword Bearers ‘Artyom Tkachenko’

A new Russian Tragi-comedy film staring The Sword Bearer favorite Artyom Tkachenko is due out in Russia in April 08’ and is probably worth keeping to up to date with its progress.  The director for the project will be Sergei Osipyan, who is steping behind the directors chair this time having previously scripted ‘Odna lyubov na million’.  Parni s Marsa is due to have a budget of $2million is currently in post production but is due out in Russia April 2008.
. Synopsis:

“Young manager Petya Starikov, who’s working on a giant chocolate factory, doesn’t suspect what’s happening outside the guarded territory. The landmarks of his life are so far rather predictable - work tasks and rewards from his bosses. But suddenly he’s faced with a series of hardships and amazing coincidences. By collecting a record amount of Coca-Cola caps, Petya wins a prize, and the same day his car is stolen. From this moment a new life starts for him. In the hands of masters from the local service center and the car thief, Petya’s Ford transforms into a one of a kind street-racing car. Petya finds himself in the middle of a war between cops and bandits, botches up the development of the new brand and becomes the cause of a fight between two beautiful girls. The order of the things is broken once and for all, ordinary guy becomes a hero and finds freedom.

    Artёm Tkachenko is also playing in the “Indigo”, which will be released on 20th March. By the way, Ivan Yankovsky, the son of Filipp Yankovsky, plays Andrey.

    Synopsis (please correct my translation):

    They live in Moscow. Tihon remember his previous lives. Tanya understands language of animals. Zheka can hack every computer program. Lesha can watch through objects. Andrey (Ivan Yankovsky) foresees danger. They are unified by the difference from usual people. But someone watches at children and kidnaps them one by one. Adults are indifferent and don’t believe that there is maniac who hunts specially for indigo children. Even the father of Andrey, district militia officer, don’t believe that. All indigo children can rely on are themselves.
