Palm Pictures Surprises No One, Picks Up Invisible Waves

Ah ... sometimes expected news is the best kind. Was just directed over to the official Invisible Waves website by a regular reader - thanks Aaron! - where it was confirmed that the film has been purchased for the US and Canada by Palm Pictures, the same people that handled Ratanaruang’s previous collaboration with Asano and Doyle on these shores, the stellar Last Life In The Universe.

Most anticipated film of the year? Pretty safe to say so, yes.

    I appreciate the news on this title. The link: Complete List of Regional Rights Holders leads to a jpg that simply lists the regions not sight of right’s holders. Anyway, who hold s the rights for Australia?

    the trailer music is from the soundtrack to ‘last life in the universe’, mixed with new music. the trailer looks great… complex.

    Graeme: “Accent Film Entertainment” has the theatrical distribution for Australia (as can be seen by the list I linked to).

    Indeed, Palm actually bought the U.S. distribution rights last year, before shooting had even begun. Clearly some big fans of Pen-ek at Palm and who can blame them? I just hope they’re rewarded for their confidence.
