More images from Jiangtou, this time for the Steven Seagal / Bey Logan produced Dragon Squad. Now don’t go rolling your eyes at the mention of Seagal’s name ... it’s been a while since he starred in anything half decent but he’s working purely as a producer on this one and has got some significant talent on board. The film tells the story of a team of Interpol agents - led by Sammo Hung - pursuing international terrorists in Hong Kong. Michael Biehn and Simon Yam also star. Black Mask’s Daniel Lee is in the director’s chair. The film is slated for a fall release.

Would like to have a photo of Michael Biehn put up somewhere. This film looks really interesting and a photo of him would be great!

A kind and wondrous soul showed me a reel of footage from this and it looks AWESOME. Seagal may actually end up having a solid career as a producer if the whole film is as good as what I saw ...

Interesting sheets, but are there any posters with the actors images on them? Would especially like to see Sammo Hung and Michael Biehn. Any word on where this film will be released theatrically? I’m hearing only Hong Kong for now, but how about the US or Europe?

I haven’t heard about it selling internationally anywhere yet, but if the whole film is as good as what I’ve seen I would expect it to at least get a DVD deal here.

BEIJING, July 11,2005—Hong Kong director Daniel Lee’s gangster film “Dragon Squad” is expected to spend 30 million HK dollars for its premiere ceremony in November.
The extravagant premiere ceremony will be taken place on a luxurious tanker on the seashore in Hong Kong.
A charity party for tsunami victims will be also held at the event.
It is the first time for Hollywood star Steven Seagal to supervise an Asian film.
The 40 million HK dollars film, from newly formed Visualizer Films, brings together an international cast including “Minority Report” star Mike Binder, South Korean star Jun-ho Heo, martial arts movie veteran Sammo Hung, Tomb Raider 2 actor Simon Yam, and Chinese mainland actress Huang Shengyi.
The film is about a battle between a team of ruthless international terrorists and an intrepid Interpol team in Hong Kong.
