The Bourne Ultimatum
Oooh ... Cinema Blend has some new pics from the Tim Burton / Johnny Depp remake of Charlie and the Choclate Factory and they look, ahem, sweet. I’m just itching to see Burton pull out all the visual stops on this ...
Now go watch the trailer again and get that song locked deep into you subconscious.

roald dahl should rise from the grave and kick tim burton in the bollocks for doing this to his work.

What’s wrong with the look of this film, Jason? I thought Roald Dahl hated the 70’s film but that Burton is trying to stay closer to the book.

i’ve read the book several times in my youth as well as it’s sequel (the great glass elevator) and let me tell you, what i’ve seen in the trailer doesn’t compare to the book at all. burton’s “vision” is obviously clouded and going the way of monet because that movie looks dumb and not true to the book at all. even in burton’s own words he “reimagined” it. all he’s doing is taking the basic premise of charlie and the chocolate factory and reworking it into his own vision. i’m dissapointed in burton’s last few films. i need more beetlejuice and scissorhands from burton and not this ‘how trippy can i make this’ crap.

I see. I read the book, but that was a long time ago so I don’t remember exactly how trippy it was. Maybe this movie will be more trippy than Dahl would have wanted, but I’m still curious to it and think there’s a good chance it’ll be a fun and/or interesting movie.

I can’t wait for this movie! I want to see it so bad. I wanna see what Charlie does with the factory! Evan know i think Johnny Depp isn’t right for this part. It better be good. I’m sure it will be.
