New 30 DAYS OF NIGHT Trailer Is Red. Like Blood.

And also red like red-band. It’s bloody, boys and girls, and also includes an extended scene from the film in the same video file and I must confess that while I wasn’t initially convinced David Slade could pull off something on this scale, he’s making a believer of me. Vampires above the Arctic Circle, where night can last a month at a time ... it’s a beautiful concept if properly exploited and from the looks of this 30 Days should prove to be the best thing Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures has produced to date ...

i’m a little skeptical, cos i found the source material to be nothing much. but form the looks of the trailer, the film might be a little more interesting.

I’m he same way, actually, or was at first. The book doesn’t really do anything with the concept and characters and struck me as really shallow. I’m hoping that the character work has been improved in this and that’s the one part of using David Slade to direct it that I initially thought was a good choice. I wasn’t convinced he had the technical stuff to do the big action, but he definitely knows character work and I’ve been taking it as a given that part will be improved with him at the helm. And now this is making me think he can pull off the fancy stuff, too ...
