Ab-normal Beauty
Film 2.0 has announced that Kwak Jae-Yong, director of the hugely successful Korean romantic comedy My Sassy Girl, will direct a science-fiction film in Japan. Cyborg Girl, which Kwak wrote and will adapt himself for the big screen, is financed by a Japanese producer and will be shot entirely in Japanese. The subject as well as the casting remain unknown, but it is known that the budget comes to some 1 billion yen (US $8.5 million). Shooting should begin the end of January, after Kwak wraps up his latest film, Martial Girl Student, starring Shin Mina in the title role. Cyborg Girl is scheduled for release the second half of 2007.
