I’ve always found Liam Neeson to be one of the more compulsively watchable screen actors in the world, the man is always fascinating on screen, even when he’s saddled wit sub-par material or overly controlling directors. And so I’m rather pleased that his threatened retirement never came to pass - back to back experiences with Jan de Bont and George Lucas nearly put him over the edge a few years back - and even more so to see him providing some much needed believability to the latest film by Banlieue 13 director Pierre Morel. Cowritten and produced by Luc Besson and directed by the French hit-machine’s favorite cinematographer turned director - Morel has worked on titles such as War, Danny the Dog, The Transporter etc - Taken casts Neeson as a former spy hunting down the men foolish enough to kidnap his daughter while she’s vacationing in Paris. Silly kidnappers ... don’t you know better than to mess with a Jedi’s family?
Anyway, the trailer - as you’d expect from any Besson-Morel collaboration - looks fantastic and the part fits Neeson to a t ... you’ll find the trailer in the Twitch player below the break.

I saw this trailer in the theater. It’ll be cool to see Liam Neeson in badass mode. Definitely will look for this one!

Transporter and War? Those are not good credentials at all. Plus, Besson stopped writting good scripts years ago.
