Great news for fans of Korean director Kim Ki-Duk! His latest effort, Breath, starring Taiwanese actor Chang Chen as a death row inmate involved in a romance with a housewife who makes contact after seeing his story on the news, hits DVD in Korea December 27th. Not only is this an English subtitled release but it comes bundled as a very low cost double bill, packaged with Kim’s previous film, Time, so if you have some catching up to do on Kim’s latest efforts this is a prime opportunity!

It’s high time you embraced the wonders of a region-free player Drewbacca! I’ve been waiting oh so patiently for this release, another month won’t kill me. And how awesome is it that Time will be packaged with this? Twice the Kim Ki-duk for the price of one - you simply can’t beat that!

I love Region free players. In fact, I work at a store that sells them! Guys want one? Huh? HUH!?! Come on, I know you want one! Yeah I’m being a whore but...do you want to watch Kim Ki-duk, or to not watch Kim Ki-duk? I enjoy his work

As far as I know, all Korea releases under the auspices of KOFIC and KOFA are region-free NTSC, and they also come with English subtitles on the special features. Just the same, a region-free player is a must for those interested in international cinema.
