Just got a note from Toros in Turkey pointing out that Turkey’s venerable Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival is getting a bit of a facelift this year and morphing into the first annual Eurasia Film Festival.  It’s an interesting concept and the Turks are certainly in prime territory to explore the connections between Europe, Asia and the Arab world and I’ll be curious to see what direction this goes in ...

The official website isn’t fully functional yet but Toros tells me that Korean director Kim Ki-Duk will be the subject of a major retrospective with Hwal (The Bow) screening along with five other Kim titles.  Haneke’s Cache is also one of the early announced titles.
