Kenneth Bi’s THE DRUMMER Hits DVD February 1st!

We’ve followed the developement of Kenneth Bi’s The Drummer with great interest around here for some time. A strong cast of Angelica Lee, (Big) Tony Leung and Jaycee (son of Jackie, and proving a decent actor) Chan combined with sterling photography and a fascinating plot line that fuses a gangster drama to zen drumming was more than enough to hook our interest. The film hit a few of the big fests recently and is now due to hit DVD in Hong Kong February first in an edition that is both English-friendly and region free, meaning it can be played anywhere with no special equipment required. Nice.
