Holy Crap! Has Kenta Made A Good Film? The Trailer For Yo Yo Girl Cop Is Shockingly Fun!

Okay, he’s cut good trailers before so I’m witholding judgement for now, but the trailer for Kenta Fukasaku’s SUKEBAN DEKA: K√îDO N√äMU = ASAMIYA SAKI - AKA Yo Yo Girl Cop, his Sukeban Deka remake - features something that all previous Fukasaku Jr efforts have sorely lacked: a sense of humor. This thing just looks like goofy fun.

    Looks like a lot of fun. I actually enjoyed BR2: Revenge, but yeah, this looks to be a cheeseball good time.

    That was the very definition of a teaser trailer. There were maybe 3 seconds worth of actual footage from the film. Too early to tell. The nasty talking bitch is already getting on my nerves, though. Needs some rape!

    I’m on the fence. Yes, could be fun, but also yes, very little footage to get a grip on.

    The girl is the latest pop star to take over the mantle of yo, yo girl. YO YO girl is a series aimed more at teens about a girl who is receuited to be an agent for a task force that needs someone to infiltrate schools. The yo, yo is her weapon of choice. It’s a little tricked. The side opens up to reveal her badge (at least that is how it was with her predicessors) The big talk in jp is that this isthe first yo, yo girl to have a shortened school girl skirt.
