   This’ll be awesome… It’s been a while since I’ve seen anything to bring me back to anime, but Hellsing was incredible, this should be a treat, especially if it sticks to the manga storyline.

   Sorry if this sound stupid but I’m a bit confused. I just got a dvd box set yesterday with Hellsing that is supposed to be the complete series (13 episodes). Is what you are talking about a sequel, a new episode, a new version??? I just bought it because it looked interesting and I wanted to check it out. Hope you can clear this to me. Thanks!

   Sorry, anyway the hellsing ova will be around 20 35 minute episodes and will be released with two ovas per dvd as it will be straight to dvd. It’s a total remake meaning that it’s not a sequel of the other as the other was not fateful and pushed away from the real story of the manga (nazi’s!!!! yay!!!!) so they’ll pretty much pretend that the other series didn’t exist. The first dvd will be out in japan around nov or so. It’s being done by a completly different animation studio and the animation looksamazing. The new series will be alot more fatefull and is pretty galrantid to kick ass. That’s all i know there is pictures of it just around for it.

    I can not wait for this new Hellsing to come out i just bought the serires today it is KICKASS ah just wanted to clear things up what is manga is it seperate from the origannal 13 episodes because i have not watched them all yet but i will when the sun comes up oh and i am also unsure of this OVA i dont get it is it just going to be an anamation of Hellsing like all the others why is everyone in other forums makeing such big deals about it

    ass...everyones making a big deal out of it because the first series (with only 13 episodes) disappointed fans of the Manga, because the manga was soooo much better than the Anime, not to mention a lot funnier. So, dont get me wrong, the first anime was good, but the newer version (Hellsing Ultimate OVA) is sticking a lot closer to the manga’s storyline, as the first series created more questions than it actually answered. What you didnt know in the first series is that when vampires bite a virgin of the opposite sex, that person becomes a vampire too, which explains why Ceras turned into a vampire (not a ghoul) after she was bitten by Alucard in the first episode. That was the more major one I think, or at least to me...but its things like that, not to mention the uber sucky animation, that held the first one back. This newer one is supposedly fixing all of those problems.

    The only thing that turns me off of the new one, is the heavy use of CGI, at least in the few clips Ive seen *hides bootleg 2 minute trailer*.

    Anywho, the main hype is that it will be based off the manga, which had WAY better fight scenes in it then the actual anime. Peace out.

    Err.. I was hopeing that someone would know when the next series hits in AMERICA. I wasn’t disapointed with the first 13 episodes becuase its cooler than Vampire D. Of course thats just what I think. There was a few bugs in it but that didnt really change that fact that its still one of the best manga’s. As long as it keeps it violent content and foul language im happy. anywho.. cya!

    I have searched for an american release date for Hellsing OVA and i’ve got 3 different dates. One is January 26th 2006. As far as i know this appears to be the release date for Japan. the second one is Febuary 10th 2006 and the third is may 4th 2007.

    All i want is one permenant date. Hellsing is one of my favorite shows. i loved the original episodes and i love the mangas. i know i will love OVA.

    There’s a very professionally done DVD-rip out now on .torrent. It’s 699 MB, an .MKV file, and has English subtitles. YOU NEED TO FIND IT AND GET IT! it is nothing short of utterly freaking awesome. Seras is hot, cute and tough, and Alucard is at his best--unleashing the f---ing fury on everything in his path and doing it with a big evil grin.

    Get it, watch it, buy it when it comes out! This is anime for action fans!

    the hellsing ova series is a new series still from the original manga but now its being created and distributed by geneon. which is the same people responcible for bringing us samurai champloo. they’re coming out with ova 2 but not for a couple more months and it will still probably take a while to get english ver. also so we will probably be waiting a while

    i’m going to sound lame, i know but i really need some facts…

    a) where can i find the first OVA?

    b) it is possible to buy the first thirteen episodes correct? i lust for those horribly.

    c) um um...damn i dunno. those are my biggest questions because i BADLY want the above.

    i cant wait anymore T.T...first I thought it was gonna be released in december of this year and now it might be in May of ‘07..i cant ever find the vol. of Hellsing I want at a bookstore and im dying to see the 7th one. Good thing they remaking it though, bcs the first one just confused me at the end...it was blunt...still a good series and good music, i hope the music is just as good.

    If you want to see the first OVA, you can either buy an imported Japanese copy (expensive) download an illegal copy using Bittorrent, (um, illegal), buy an illegal DVD from eBay (also illegal, but more convenient) or wait until this December for OVA 1 to hit stores in the US (I’m assuming you’re in the US--please pardon me if I’m wrong.)

    If you are wise in the ways of Bittorrent, you’re probably already searching. If not, go to Google, type in “Bittorrent Hellsing OVA” and see where that gets you.

    I think you can also find the first OVA on YouTube. It’s illegal to post it on YouTube, but people keep putting it up anyway, and then Youtube takes it down, and then somebody else puts it up again. Go to Youtube.com and do a search for Hellsing OVA. YouTube will only let someone upload 10 minutes of video at a time, so you will be looking for episode 1 divided into 5 sections: Part 1 of 5, Part 2 of 5, Part 3 of 5 etc. The video and sound quality will also be rather bad, but if you’re desperate, it will do in a pinch. It’s also very convenient.

    You absolutely can buy the first, 13-episode Hellsing anime! Check Amazon.com or Deepdiscountdvd.com for some good prices.
