Halloween Treats From Magnet Releasing!

Halloween must be a favorite time of year for the good people at Magnet Releasing.  They’re dropping horror flick Splinter - see my review below - on to the big screen tomorrow while Swedish vampire flick Let The Right One In - the first film in their stellar Six Shooter Film Series - began it’s limited theatrical run yesterday with both Special and Time Crimes due to follow before the end of the year.  They’re genre savvy folk over there with a lineup of truly stellar films and to celebrate the spooky season they’re giving a bunch of them away.

We’ve just been offered a Magnet Releasing prize pack made up of DVD copies of The Host, Exiled, The Signal, Shrooms, Pulse - the excellent original, not the piece of crap remake - and Severance to give to one lucky Twitch reader.  Want ‘em?  It’s easy.  Head over to the Six Shooter site then .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) with the names of the two English language films in the series.  We’ll draw our winner November 6th.

    Mail sent!
I started writing about the movies in the price pack at first, until I realized 3 of them are in English… That’s when I realized my mistake.
    Either way, good luck everyone!

Thanks to whoever added the review links (looks like Kurt from the formatting) ... time crunch while posting today kept me from doing the requisite digging to find them ...

No Worries, We’ve got your back.

Just to let everyone know on the movie The Signal, this movie is good only if you have an hour and half to kill and have nothing better to do.

I couldn’t disagree more, ASIAN FLIX. THE SIGNAL was such a fun little surprise, though it does sag a bit in the end. I couldn’t help but admire the film’s brains and loony, if not hit-or-miss, humor. Good stuff that is more than just a good way to kill time, in my book, at least.

I know different tastes for different people, but over all it was a movie that ‘could have been good’ but fell short overall.
