A quick note here to announce that The Gomorrahizer is no longer a part of the Twitch team, nor is he affiliated with the site in any way.  He has been a major contributor to Twitch throughout his time here and we gratefully acknowledge his many contributions and wish him well in the future.

Wow.  Really?  Sorry to hear that.

He’s been like Sting around here.  I never really listened to what he had to say, but he’s here and I appreciate that.

    Good luck G.

If it means there will be less pictures of women being horribly tortured, brutalized, eviscerated, phsyically humiliated and horrifically butchered on the site then maybe that’s not a bad thing.

I come to this site for a look at what’s going on in movies around the world and I love the horror genre but an almost unwavering stream of movies about women being tortured is not what I’m here for.

I will miss him big time.I actually looked forward to his pictures of half naked, tortured women.Yeah I’m a perv like that sue me.Its all make believe people.Gom covered alot of films I would’ve never seen if not for his articles.

I hope Twitch doesnt become more PC and aim for the PG-13 crowd.I’d hate for this site to turn into yet another Hollywood marketing machine. We have enough of those on the net.

I like that he covered a number of films in horror genre, the poster for SHROOMS is very cool and I love a large number of gore films. But I’ve been here for a couple of years now and the tortured women stuff got a bit much. A site like BLOODY-DISGUSTING can cover a wide rang of horror films and not be so narrowly focussed.

Twitch is changing a bit, but as long as it keeps being one of the better places for finding interesting, non-hollywood movies from all over the world it will stay worth checking out.

he did cover the most extreme movies on twitch, but all that stuff, wich i like (yep… i’m a perv too) was balanced by the stuff the other posters wrote about. i dont think it ever got that heavy really.
so yeah, i think he not posting anymore is definitely a blow for twitch, but still there’s lots of other cool stuff to keep me coming back.

Nitty:  I don’t think you have anything to worry about as far as the site becoming Hollywood or too tame.  The content of the site has always warped and shifted as writers have come and gone simply because I try to collect people with interesting taste and then leave them free to write about what interests them with a minimum of direction or restriction.  What you get is a fusion of a bunch of different tastes.  The one thing that has always unified the site, though, is that while we’re not at all anti-Hollywood we do tend to get bored of Hollywood product quite easily and that the site as a whole has always refused to make a distinction between “genre” and “serious” film.  That last bit is, I think, the core of what makes Twitch what it is.

So, yeah, content will change some without him but it did that when X left and when some of the original crew left, too.  That’s how it goes.  What it’ll morph into is yet to be seen but we have no interest in being the next Aint it Cool or Coming Soon.

the difference between genre and serious, that’s a distinction many of my art film friends and sometimes pop film friends have a difficulty differentiating.  i need a thesarus, lol.

Your unique voice will be missed Gom!  Best of Luck.

I always had to scroll by his stuff, so for me it will be a much cleaner read.
