Surely theres been a mistake? Logboy talks about Romero’s new Dead film but the trailer looks like its for a new Resident Evil film.
I think I just died a little inside

One has to remember how marketing works: They’re not going to emphasise Romero’s strong writing work, they’re going to put absolute emphasis on CRASH BOOM BANG EXPLOSIONS.
It doesn’t matter the strong track record, (Even though most people abhor “Day") marketing has to aim for the fresh new meat that’s ready to be sold the next flashy MTV-Style clusterfuck to get butts into seats, and when you consider what’s popular these days you just can’t blame them.
However, Hopper says the word “Zombies” in the trailer. If I recall, that’s the first time Romero has ever used the word. Strange.

I personaly like Day better than Dawn. The trailer did nothing for me really. I hated that fucking nu metal shit song they always use and the editing was bad. But Hopper and his line in the end cracked me up.

Looked a bit like a cheaper version of the ‘Dawn of the Dead’ remake.Have a horrible feeling Romero is going the way of John Carpenter. Bit ‘Ghost of Mars’-ish. Hope I’m wrong.

Sigh . . . it does appear that Romero is a little late to his own party. I can’t believe I’m going to say this but I think I’m officially tired of zombie films. Thank you Hollywood (and elsewhere) for wearing out one of my favorite genres. This looks more like a sequel to the Dawn remake than it does to Romero’s previous films.

Hm - not too impressed, but JFelix hit the nail on the head in that trailers (especially teaser trailers) are going to emphasize action over all else. I’m willing to give this pic the benefit of every doubt because of Romero’s involvement. I suspect it’ll be far headier than anything that’s come down the zombie pipeline (including 28 DAYS LATER).
I think it looks great. The script is great, and the movie’s going to rock.

Hee..."Legendary Director George A. Romero” by this trailer’s logic I could refer to “Legendary Director Rodger Corman” doesn’t mean he’s a good director…
The more that trailer went on… the more my heart sunk further and further....please lord don’t let it be a rock/metal soundtrack in this movie… please....And its obvious that the zombies have advanced, so in this movie they’re bound to be more animated… Its just that we’ve already seen that.... Im going to remain hopefull, but im not happy....
