ADV Films are issuing the legendary anime series “Gatchaman”, bastardised and edited into oblivion and released (here in the UK, probably elsewhere too) as “Battle of The Planets” and “G Force”. It’s one of those series i watched as a kid, and have fond(ish) memories of, so it could be a tempter…
The first two volumes ($15 each - 250 minutes each volume) and a special package containing both of those and an extras disc ($45 rrp) will be June 14th, and they seem to be going to town on it - see the lovely artwork shown here which must have cost them a few bob. Has anyone here abouts seen the original version of Gatchaman? All I want now is Go Nagais’ “X-Bomber” aka “Star Fleet” and perhaps a few other shows that I remember too.

Super Science Ninja Team - I had a guy who went to my church who was with Anime North and he would lend me fan subs on VHS. Funny. I don’t remember any swearing in my after school day time cartoon days. Must have been lost in translation.
