Love Fantasy, My Beautiful Girl Mari
Good lord, Mr Movie Voice, has it never occurred to you that people can actually read title cards for themselves? Yes, I know you do what you’re paid to do but next time someone pays you to do nothing but repeat what’s already on the screen for everybody to read could you maybe point out the absurdity of the situation? I know it won’t change anything but it’ll make me feel better. Thanks.
Now that that’s out of the way, the full length theatrical trailer for J.A. Bayona’s Mexican ghost story The Orphange has just released and other than the ridiculous over use of Mr. Movie Voice it’s looking good. Which is fitting, because the movie itself is rather good. Yup.

in a world ... where people can’t read title cards ... one man stands alone ... against a tide of illiteracy ...

Since they’ve hidden actual diaglog from the film, I’m guessing they wanted the voice-over guy speaking as much as possible...all in the effort to cover-up the fact that the movie is in Spanish. I remember most of the Pan’s Labyrinth trailers disguised the fact that it was in Spanish as well.
