Full Trailer For Thai Supernatural Actioner OPAPATIKA

We first wrote about upcoming Thai actioner Opapatika all the way back in June of 2005.  This should serve as a cautionary note.  The film was already deep into production then and has been languishing in post-production hell for the more-than two years since which is absolutely never a good sign.  Obviously the finished film has some significant problems that those involved spent a lot of time tinkering to try and fix before letting anybody see it.  But they’ve either decided that things are better now or that they never will be and the time has come to simply cut their losses and try to get as much back as they can because the first full trailer has just arrived and the film is slated to hit Thai screens soon.

The concept for this is fantastic - it revolves around a class of people born with supernatural powers that function on karmic principles, meaning they extract as much from their users as they grant - and there are some moments where the trailer really shines though there are also bits that feel a little uneven and movie-of-the-week.  Time will tell if the problems have been fixed.
