Yesterday the IFFR published the complete movie list and roster on their website. An a-z is also available, but only in Dutch at the moment.

More than a third of the movies listed this year are either World premieres, International premieres (first time shown outside of their own country) or European premieres.

I’ll be building my own schedule for the next couple of weeks, so if you have hints, tips or recommendations please tell me in the comments or on the forum here at Twitch.

On a slightly cautious note: there are only about 350.000 tickets to be sold, so you need to move fast for the films you want to see.
I’ll be standing in line come Saturday morning, but this year the IFFR has chosen to experiment with online ticket sales again. I wish everyone who tries getting their tickets that way the best of luck, as it has never worked properly in the past and always had to be abandoned after a day or two. Last year the IFFR disregarded online sales at all, and everything went swell (but for me it’s easy of course, living in Rotterdam).

I wish everyone involved a very happy IFFR and hope to be able to do a lot of posting. Cheers!

a very happy IFFR to you too grin
I am going to try the Internet thing that starts this midnight because, even if Amsterdam is not far from Rotterdam. If you have to go by train you’ll never be there early enough for a place inline… who knows, if the website crashes maybe I still have to go…
be sure not to take weeks with your planning because the festival is starting in days grin
I have made a schedule for myself that is pretty much locked so it’s up to how everything goes tonight now. The ten movies highest on my ‘want list’ are (in no particular order):
fantasma - argentinian minimalism inspired by tsai ming-liang
abandoned house - a first time I will be able to catch a james herbert film. could be a beautifull thing or very ‘artyfarty’
strawberry shortcakes - shojo manga stuff, good reviews
the host - everyone here knows that one
    container - moodysson experimentalism
scream of ants - a philosophical roadmovie
I don’t want to sleep alone - new tsai ming-liang film
nightmare detective - new shinya tsukamoto film
retribution - new kyoshi kurosawa film
paprika - also very well reviewd at twitch, so ‘nuff said

I’m planning on seeing EX-DRUMMER, THE HOST and LES ANGES EXTERMINATEURS on monday the 29th. Still deciding between M, EXILED and PRINCESS for that day.

    Beavis,

Were you the guy with the laptop (and wirless modem) in front of me, who managed to shock everyone by having all but one of his tickets bought before the counter opened?
