Wow.  The full trailer for the Amityville Horror remake has turned up online and it looks to have a shot at being one of the best American horror films of the past decade or so.  Seriously.  There is some legitimately creepy stuff in there and the cast looks fantastic.  Don’t know why it is but there’s just something about Mr. Alanis Morisette that I find immensely watchable and now that he’s decided to actually put some effort into his work - he’s talked openly about changing his approach in the local press - he’s turning out to be a pretty solid actor.  Nice.

the first movies were so dry and dull what’s gonna make this one any better?  IT’S A HOUSE!?  WTF????

ok, maybe i spoke too soon.  that trailer looks great.  i guess i’ll just leave this foot in my mouth for a few more hours until lunch time rolls around.

Hopefully it’ll be good, and hopefully it won’t be cut, though I’m fairly positive they wouldn’t dare.

Looks very promising indeed. Ryan Reynolds is really doing the 180 from comedy to more serious acting (if you can really call Blade: Trinity serious, but it’s graver than Van Wilder). Something about the original teaser to this made me dismiss the movie as it was VERY similar to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake trailer.

Thanks for pointing this out. Now I’ll go see it.
