Director Mark Young’s vampire picture Southern Gothic just took a successful bow on the world stage at Scotland’s Dead By Dawn festival and following a little flurry of email Young has passed along a series of behind the scenes shots and stills from the film for you lucky Twitch folk to admire while we wait for the man to cut a trailer.  B movie icon William Forsythe stars alongside Yul Vasquez and Nicole DuPort, who you can witness weilding a large, spikey club in the stills posted down below for Young’s Tooth and Nail, which just wrapped principal photography.

Here’s a synopsis for Southern Gothic:

Southern Gothic is a dark horror/thriller set in the South, and chronicles a man who must atone for a tragic mistake by saving a little girl from a band of ruthless, undead killers. Hazel Fortune (Yul Vazquez) works in a strip club in the small Southern town of Redemption. Haunted by the death of his only daughter, Fortune has become a self-destructive, suicidal alcoholic, until he meets Starla Motes (Nicole DuPort). Hazel’s downward spiral is interrupted when he is befriended by Starla’s daughter, Hope (Emily Young). But when Hope is kidnapped by Enoch Pitt (William Forsythe) - a ruthless, psychotic preacher on a bloody crusade - Hazel must make the decision to rejoin the living, and risk life and limb to save her from a terrible end.
