... And it’s really, really tasty.  Now, I’ll be right up front about the fact that I’ve never read the source comic so I have no idea how closely this adheres to the original but as a piece of cinema this teaser looks absolutely spectacular.  Yes, it’s the same technique as was used for Sin City but considering Miller was behind that one in more than one way and also considering just what an effective method it is of putting comics on the big screen I hardly think it makes any sense to gripe about that.  Just sit back and enjoy.

Well, as comic book fan i’m a little disappointed. I think it would be more appropiate to do a noir style flick (yes, black & white). But, whatever, what matters is the film itself. If it’s a good one, that’s ok.

Sweet.  I like Miller’s style so I’m pretty sure I’ll like this.  Hopefully there’ll be more than three colors in the flick itself though.

It doesn’t look “bad”.  But it doesn’t look like “The Spirit” so much as SIN CITY 1½.  I don’t think that’s what I was hoping for here.

Ugh, that is gross.  And why bother spending all the time on CGI and stylized shit when you can’t get basic, simple wirework to look decent.  What a pile.

I really, really wish Warren Beatty had gotten his hands on The Spirit instead of Frank Miller. His Dick Tracy adaption was much closer in tone and looks to what is needed to do Will Eisner’s creation justice than this abomination this Miller thing looks like it’s going to be.
