France Goes Mann With Marchal’s MR 73

When I first caw the promo for Olivier Marchal’s MR 73 back at the AFM I was struck by how much the French crime-action-drama felt like the sort of film that could easily have been made by Michael Mann. It has the requisite icy precision, technical skill to spare and a very strong, though beaten down anti-hero in weathered lead Daniel Auteuil. But you don’t have to take my word for it. Regular reader Mary has pointed the way to the first official trailer for the film and you’ll find it below the break, embedded in the Twitch Video Player.
